Ingredients are always our priority when it comes to our soups, we always make ours 24 hours in advance, so the flavours can blend perfectly. We also follow the seasons, so in summer we will often make a cold Soup such as Vine Tomato and Basil and in the winter hearty warm Split Pea and Roast Deli Ham Soup, to warm your insides and fill you up.
We have a different Soup everyday made in store, all without a stock cube or thickening agent in sight and most suitable for vegetarians, so you can be guaranteed that they are MSG, Gluten and worry free.

Janice, our Chef, sees the main dinner selection as a rite of passage, to be performed on a daily basis, meticulously ensuring that there are at least 6 choices on offer to cater for all needs.
With over 25 years’ experience as a Chef, she can draw on a huge range of courses to offer our you and is known for consistently suppling high quality dinners and most come with a vegetable side dish to accompany the main course and all are fully precooked and simply need re-heating when you get home.
Our signature dishes include Moroccan Chicken with Preserved Lemon, Lamb Shanks with Dauphin Potatoes, Rich Beef in Beer and our forever popular Beef Lasagne in a rich Vine Tomato Sauce, Oh and don’t forget the ‘Fish Cake Thursdays’, as the locals name it, as we always offer these on that day.

Every season is a new challenge for us and we often plan months in advance, so in June were busy making the Christmas Puddings and Mince Pie Filling, to infuse their lovely spices in brandy. In Spring, Jan is busy searching for new recipes with a spring in her step. Summer is time for picnics, all ready to be picked up and taken to Ascot or Henley. Christmas is a extra special time for us, as we like to fill the shop with delicious Christmas delicacies, all of which are perfect for presents, dinner party gifts or stocking fillers. All of the dishes that you will find on our Deli Counter are prepared in house by our team of Chefs. We only use the freshest and finest produce, locally sourced where possible, and as all of our food is made on a daily basis you can be assured of mouth-watering options.
Our range of dishes changes daily but will always include our fabulous sausage rolls, quiches, frittatas, salads and soup along with a varied selection of main courses.
Be tempted by our cake display – brownies, blondies, carrot cake with passion fruit icing, orange and almond cake and host of others not forgetting our great home-made cookies.
Sandwiches are deep filled and made to order, choose from a wide range of scrumptious fillings or come up with your own idea if you prefer!We firmly believe in offering and sourcing great products and you will always find a varied selection of cheeses, cured meats and artisan breads on the Deli Counter.
When asked by our clients "which cake is the least calorific?" whilst gazing over the cake selection, we always say "All of them are calorie free! provided you go for a 3 mile run after." Well it’s not strictly true, but at least it makes everyone less guilt ridden!
Baked in store on a daily basis by our own Pastry Chef Justina, our cakes are richly satisfying and everything you want your cake to be, with your first mouthful! Be it our Famous Passion Fruit Iced Carrot Cake, which surely should qualify as one of your five vegetables a day in an ideal world, or our intense secret recipe Chocolate Brownies, made with the finest Belgian Chocolate, exploding with gooey Chocolate guaranteed to satisfy the sweetest tooth craving in everyone.

Here at the Deli we spend a lot of time sourcing new off the shelf products, both seasonal and basics and anyone who has popped in knows that our shelves are crammed full with delicious unusual delights to see you on your way, most of which can’t be bought in supermarkets. We endeavour to find the products prior to them hitting the big time.
We are proud to support local suppliers as much as we can, and are always interested in new products. Of course we realise a British Parmesan Cheese if there is such a thing isn’t right, so we also source smaller brands from across Europe, and always keep an eye on the quality.
